Although South Africa doesn’t fall into the second round of pre-orders for iPhone‘s it gives us some idea about how quickly Apple is releasing the iPhone 6. Just to give you some idea, South Africa was in the 4th round of countries for the iPhone 5s.

Apple has revealed the pre-orders for the second round of countries will open on the 26 September. Although it doesn’t give a release date it is most likely going to be the 3rd October. The second round of countries have mostly received the new iPhone 2 weeks after the first round of countries.

Most of the countries listed in the second round of iPhone 6 release were in the second round of the iPhone 5s release. One or two countries might get a chance to move up which would be good for South Africa. South Africa has been creeping up the pecking order for iPhone releases.

Let’s hope Apple doesn’t have production issues with the iPhone 6 and we could see it in South Africa before November.
