We previously posted about photo’s of the back cover of the iPhone 6 with rounded corners much like the iPod Touch and iPad. A new photo set shared by Nowhereelse.fr now shows a similar part from various angles, with its apparent high quality bolstering speculation that this may indeed be a genuine iPhone 6 shell.
As can be seen in the photos, the new iPhone will be made from metal, will be ultra-thin, and include various antenna cutouts throughout the rear of the device. Apple is working on 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch models, but the chassis above looks to belong to the smaller of the two.
You can see in the photo to the right that Apple has moved the sleep/wake/power key to the side of the device in order to make it more accessible via one-hand usage.
The new iPhone will likely include a 1704 x 960 resolution display with a sharper pixel density, a more efficient A8 processor, and it will run the new iOS 8 with health-tracking integration, improved photo synchronization with iCloud, and new messaging features.
The iPhone 6 is expected to be announced early in September 2014 and will most likely be released in South Africa by Mid November.
